Casino employee stole $15,000 from the cash register and immediately lost it at the same establishment
A former employee of the American casino Harrah’s Gulf Coast stole $15,000 from her workplace's cash register and immediately lost the money gambling at the same establishment. For this, she was sentenced to a suspended term. This was reported by Sun Herald.
At the trial, 30-year-old Issakia Falconer fully admitted her guilt. She confessed that in January 2024 she stole the money while working and immediately spent it on bets at the same casino.
After the guilty plea, District Judge Randy Mueller sentenced Falconer to a suspended sentence of seven years, with four years of supervision after release.
The court issued the verdict without establishing a felony conviction, which means she will not have a corresponding record if she fulfills all the conditions of the sentence, including full compensation payment.
According to court documents, the woman previously had no felony convictions.
