Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz again
Iran reported that it is closing the Strait of Hormuz again for ship passage after the signing of a memorandum between Iran and the US on an agreement to end the war. This was reported by the Iranian agency Tasnim, citing the operational headquarters of the country's Armed Forces.
The Iranian Armed Forces stated that they are closing the strait due to alleged US violations of the ceasefire memorandum and due to Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
They also added that this is the "first step" and that if aggression against the country and Lebanon continues, there will be "next steps" against the US and Israel.
Recall that on June 18, the US and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the war in the Middle East.
