Which Used Cars Are Most Often Imported to Ukraine — TOP 10 Models
In May 2026, Ukrainians purchased nearly 18 thousand used passenger cars imported from abroad. Despite the overall reduction in the volume of "second-hand" imports, the market structure underwent noticeable changes: gasoline cars significantly strengthened their positions, while the share of electric vehicles almost halved compared to last year.
The unwavering favorite among Ukrainian drivers remains the Volkswagen Golf, which traditionally topped the ranking of the most popular imported cars.
Which cars Ukrainians chose
The largest share among imported used passenger cars in May was gasoline-powered vehicles — 58%. For comparison, in May 2025 their share was 48%.
The market structure also included:
- diesel cars — 19% (21% in May 2025);
- electric cars — 11% (22% in May 2025);
- hybrid cars — 9% (6% in May 2025);
- cars with gas-cylinder equipment — 3% (3% in May 2025).
Thus, the greatest growth was shown by gasoline and hybrid cars, while the share of electric cars decreased by half over the year.
The average age of used passenger cars that received Ukrainian registration in May was 9.4 years.
TOP 10 Most Popular Used Cars from Abroad
The leader among used cars imported to Ukraine remains the Volkswagen Golf.
The top ten most popular models in May included:
- Volkswagen Golf — 825 units;
- Volkswagen Tiguan — 737;
- Nissan Rogue — 645;
- Audi Q5 — 587;
- Škoda Octavia — 555;
- Renault Megane — 547;
- Ford Escape — 410;
- Volkswagen Passat — 392;
- Nissan Qashqai — 347;
- Mazda CX-5 — 331.
According to Ukravtoprom, these models were the most in demand among Ukrainians in the market of imported used cars in May.
