The Pension Fund of Ukraine reminded which documents, besides the employment record book, can be submitted for digitization to confirm insurance experience.

"The right to an insurance pension is determined by the insurance experience acquired by a person," the agency emphasized.

Experience after January 1, 2004, i.e., after the Law of Ukraine "On Compulsory State Pension Insurance" came into force, is calculated based on the data from the register of insured persons of the State Register of Compulsory State Social Insurance.

The main document confirming periods of employment before January 1, 2004 is the employment record book issued in the prescribed manner upon first employment.

At the same time, all documents confirming insurance experience before January 1, 2004 must be uploaded to the electronic employment record book. Besides the employment record book, these include:

▪️ documents on obtaining education in full-time form and their supplements;

▪️ military ID (all pages with marks about conscription, service, and discharge);

▪️ child's birth certificate;

▪️ documents confirming a change of surname (if entries in the employment record book and other documents are made under different surnames);

▪️ certificates of privileged experience, etc.

If the employment record book is lost, the following documents can be submitted when assigning a pension to confirm experience acquired before 2004:

▪️ extracts or certificates compiled, including based on data available in information (automated) and/or information and communication systems of enterprises, institutions, organizations;

▪️ personal accounts and payroll statements;

▪️ IDs, references, written employment contracts and agreements with marks about their fulfillment, and other documents containing information about periods of work;

▪️ trade union membership cards (for the period for which there are marks about payment of membership fees), etc.

The list of documents on experience accepted to confirm experience in case of loss of the employment record book, absence of corresponding entries in it, or errors in the entries is provided in the Procedure for confirming existing employment experience for pension assignment in the absence of an employment record book or corresponding entries in it, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 637 dated August 12, 1993.
