The exam date was set for certain local court judges within the qualification assessment
On Wednesday, May 27, the High Qualification Commission of Judges (HQCJ) made a decision to set the exam date for seven local court judges within the framework of:
- qualification assessment due to the imposition of disciplinary sanctions;
- qualification assessment for compliance with the position held.
The exam will take place on June 15, 2026.
The Commission emphasized that the exam will be conducted according to the rules that were in effect before the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges" and Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding the Improvement of Judicial Career Procedures," as well as in accordance with the Procedure for conducting the exam and the methodology for determining its results in the qualification assessment procedure, approved by the Commission's decision dated November 4, 2016, No. 144/zp-16 (as amended by the Commission's decision of February 13, 2018, No. 20/zp-18 with changes).
Duration of exam stages:
- anonymous written testing – 120 minutes;
- completion of the practical task – 300 minutes.
Type and number of practical tasks:
for a local court judge – 1 practical task of type 1.
The practical task will be performed using computer equipment.
The exam will be held at the Commission's premises at: Kyiv, General Shapoval Street, 9.
Registration of participants will last from 08:30 AM to 09:00 AM on the designated exam day for the judge.
A Ukrainian citizen's passport is required for registration.
The exam starts at 09:15 AM.
"We also draw attention to the fact that on May 13, 2026, the Commission adopted a decision to approve new versions of exam programs, taxonomic characteristics of anonymous written testing, and certain test questions for conducting exams within the qualification assessment of local court judges," the HQCJ added.
