Restoring driving rights after deprivation under Articles 130 and 124 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – which exams drivers will have to take
Drivers who have been deprived of the right to drive vehicles under Articles 130 or 124 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO) can have their license returned only after fulfilling the requirements established by law. In such cases, exams are taken for the higher open category of the driving license. This was reported by the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Conditions for restoring driving rights
To restore the right to drive vehicles, drivers must:
- undergo an unscheduled medical examination — in case of deprivation of the right to drive under Article 130 of the CAO
- pass theoretical and practical exams at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center
For which category the exams are taken
The Ministry of Internal Affairs service center emphasizes that if two or more categories are open on the driver's license, exams are taken for the higher category indicated in the document.
For example, if a driver has categories B and C open, the exams are taken for category C.
Which documents need to be prepared
To receive the service at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center, it is necessary to prepare:
- passport of a citizen of Ukraine or an ID card with information about the place of residence
- registration number of the taxpayer's accounting card
- medical certificate of ability to drive vehicles
- receipts for payment of services
Returning the driver's license
After successfully passing the exams and submitting all the necessary documents, the Ministry of Internal Affairs service center returns the driver's license in accordance with the current legislation.
