Parcels Without Queues: Ukrposhta Changes the Way Shipments Are Issued at Branches
Now you can pick up a parcel at Ukrposhta without waiting in the general queue for the operator – the company is installing special fast pickup lockers inside branches. This was reported by the company.
Ukrposhta automatically directs some shipments for pickup in the new format. After the parcel arrives, the client receives an SMS with an access code, opens their locker, and collects the shipment independently – without contacting the operator.
Unlike classic parcel lockers, these lockers operate directly inside branches and are available during their working hours. At the same time, the usual service format remains available.
"We have long been looking for a way to separate customer flows: those who come only for parcels and those who use other services – from utility payments to international postal transfers," said Igor Smilianskyy, CEO of JSC Ukrposhta.
"Tests are still ongoing, but it is already clear: you can pick up a parcel at Ukrposhta without a queue," he assures.
At the first stage, the new format will operate in 400 branches – primarily in million-plus cities and regional centers. In Kyiv and Kyiv Region, the pilot project has already been launched: the first 120 fast pickup lockers have been installed there.
