The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the Regulation on the procedure for issuing driver's licenses and allowing citizens to operate vehicles.

The document introduces a new mechanism for determining the need for special vehicle adaptations for persons with medical indications.

The determination of necessary adaptations will be carried out by authorized employees of the territorial service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Based on the inspection results, drivers will be issued a certificate specifying the required vehicle adaptations.

The government also defined the authority of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in agreement with the Ministry of Health, to approve the procedure for determining such adaptations, as well as the requirements for authorized employees.

It is expected that information about the necessary vehicle adaptations will be indicated on the driver's license in the form of special codes.
