Ukrzaliznytsia Changes Summer Schedule: Which Trains Became Daily and Where Additional Services Were Added
Due to increased demand for summer travel, Ukrzaliznytsia is expanding the schedule: several trains will run daily, and additional services will appear on certain routes.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, seven pairs of trains will soon be switched to daily operation:
No. 4/3 Uzhhorod — Dnipro;
No. 86/85 Lviv — Zaporizhzhia;
No. 128/127 Lviv — Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia;
No. 78/77 Kovel — Odesa;
No. 88/87 Kovel — Dnipro;
No. 7/8 Kharkiv — Odesa;
No. 121/122 Mykolaiv — Kyiv.
In addition, train No. 143/144 Sumy — Rakhiv service is being restored. The route will again provide direct connection between Sumy region and the western regions of Ukraine. The train will connect Sumy, Bilopillia, and Konotop with Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Yaremche, and Vorokhta.
Also, to meet the increased demand for transportation between Kyiv and Bukovina, an additional train No. 227/228 Kyiv — Chernivtsi has been scheduled. It will run every other day with stops in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kolomyia.
The train will include reserved seat, compartment, and SV (luxury) cars.
Ticket sales for new and additional services will open according to their operation dates. Depending on the route, tickets will be available for purchase 5–20 days before the train's departure.
