How to Find Out About the Presence of Tax Debt: A Guide for Taxpayers
Taxpayers can monitor their settlements with the budget and receive necessary tax information remotely. For this purpose, the State Tax Service provides a number of electronic services that allow viewing data on accruals, tax payments, and existing debts without visiting tax authorities.
The Taxpayer's Electronic Cabinet combines more than 130 free services. Their functionality is constantly expanding taking into account user needs and changes in legislation.
In particular, through the "Status of Settlements with the Budget" menu, users can view their integrated taxpayer cards, receive information about the payment of taxes, fees, and other mandatory payments, as well as check for the presence of tax debt. In addition, the service allows paying taxes, fees, payments, and the unified social contribution using available payment systems and methods.
Taxpayers can also generate an extract on the status of settlements with the budget. Such a document is available separately for each year starting from 2013, with details by types of taxes, fees, and payments. The extract is generated automatically and signed with a qualified electronic signature of an official of the controlling authority. If the taxpayer has tax debt, the document shows the calculated amount of penalties as of the date of the request submission.
The request to obtain the extract is sent to the tax authority at the taxpayer's place of registration. At the same time, the document contains information about the reconciliation results for all payments regardless of the region or territorial community to whose budget they were paid.
Tax services are available not only in the Electronic Cabinet but also through the "My Tax" mobile application, the InfoTAX chatbot, and the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services "Diia".
In the "My Tax" application, individuals can also view information about the status of settlements with the budget in the "Services" section through the "Status of Settlements with the Budget" service.
