Fuel cashback ended – the government summed up the results of the state program
About 2.3 million Ukrainians took advantage of the fuel cashback program. This was reported by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
According to her, the program was a temporary anti-crisis financial support tool for citizens during one of the largest global oil crises in the last 50 years. It operated from March 20 to May 31.
The national program allowed consumers to save from 5% to 15% of the fuel cost depending on its type.
It is noted that 91% of program participants were owners of economy-class cars with small engine capacity.
During the initiative, about 500 thousand new National Cashback cards were issued, which, according to the government, contributed to the development of state digital services.
Accumulated cashback funds can be used by citizens to pay for utilities, purchase medicines, books, and Ukrainian-made goods, as well as to donate to charity or support the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
