Leave with travel abroad for military personnel – which documents need to be submitted to the TCC
The Donetsk Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support clarified the procedure for granting military personnel leave with the possibility of traveling abroad.
It is noted that the decision to grant permission to leave is made on an individual basis.
For this, the serviceman must submit a report to the commander of the military unit at least three weeks before the planned departure date.
The report must specify the dates of departure and return, the city and address of stay, as well as the type of transport and the checkpoint through which the state border crossing is planned.
Documents confirming the purpose of the trip must be attached to the report, including a marriage certificate, birth certificates of children, or documents on temporary protection of family members abroad. The Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support clarified that the main reason for departure is a meeting with family members who were forced to leave Ukraine.
It is also noted that the legislation provides for the possibility of granting additional days to the leave for travel time.
After reviewing the documents, the commander of the military unit makes a decision to permit or deny the departure. If approved, an order is issued confirming the right to leave, and the relevant information is entered into the leave ticket.
To cross the state border, the serviceman must present to the border guards a foreign passport, a military ID, a leave ticket indicating the place of stay and permission to leave, as well as an extract from the order of the authorized person granting leave and the right to cross the border.
The Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support separately explained the procedure for military personnel traveling abroad for medical treatment.
In this case, it is necessary to have a Ukrainian citizen's passport for traveling abroad or an internal passport, a conclusion on the need to be sent for treatment abroad, as well as a letter from the Ministry of Health agreeing with the foreign side on the list of persons who can be accepted for treatment by healthcare institutions of other countries.
