In Ukraine, fines are provided for driving and parking in prohibited natural and pedestrian zones, including forests, near bodies of water, and protected areas, according to the norms of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Entry of cars and motorcycles into prohibited zones — forests, coastal protective strips, nature reserves, and pedestrian zones — entails administrative liability. The amount of fines, depending on the violation, ranges from 340 to 15,300 hryvnias, and in the case of protected areas can reach up to 30,600 hryvnias according to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

In forested areas, vehicle movement is prohibited except for special equipment and designated transit routes. Especially strict restrictions apply during periods of increased fire danger and during martial law. For violations of fire safety rules, fines under Article 77 of the Code of Administrative Offenses range from 1,530 to 4,590 hryvnias.

In coastal zones and on beaches, driving and parking cars and motorcycles within water protection zones (usually from 25 to 100 meters from the water depending on the type of water body) are considered violations of the Water Code of Ukraine. Such actions are fined by the State Environmental Inspectorate.

In protected natural fund territories, including national parks, reserves, and sanctuaries, the highest environmental fines are imposed. For citizens, they amount approximately from 6,120 to 12,240 hryvnias.

In urban pedestrian zones and parks, driving under the relevant road signs, movement on sidewalks or green zones is classified as a violation of landscaping rules or traffic rules. Fines under Articles 122 or 152 of the Code of Administrative Offenses range from 340 to 1,700 hryvnias.

Thus, any vehicle entry into prohibited natural or pedestrian areas in Ukraine can entail different levels of administrative liability depending on the location and nature of the violation.
