After a massive Russian attack, there are already 30 injured in Kyiv, including two children
As a result of a massive combined Russian attack on Kyiv, the number of injured has risen to 30 people. Among the wounded are two children aged 5 and 6. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.
According to him, fires and destruction were recorded in almost all districts of the capital due to the Russian strike. Residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, educational institutions, warehouse premises, and cultural landmarks were damaged.
One of the most serious consequences of the attack was the damage to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. A fire broke out on the territory of the reserve — the roof of the Assumption Cathedral caught fire. According to preliminary information, the fire was caused by a direct hit.
Also, as a result of the Russian attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio. As reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy — Minister of Culture Tetyana Berezhna, the strike destroyed the largest and oldest costume collection in Ukraine.
Damage was recorded in the Obolonsky, Podilskyi, Pechersky, Solomiansky, Shevchenkivskyi, Darnytsky, Dniprovski, and Holosiivskyi districts of Kyiv.
In the Obolonsky district, several residential buildings and warehouse premises were damaged. Fires broke out at the sites of falling debris, about 30 cars burned down. According to Tkachenko, there was also a direct hit on a nine-story residential building here.
In the Podilskyi district, debris caused fires in a private house and a three-story building. In the Dniprovski district, residential buildings were damaged.
In the Solomiansky district, residential buildings were damaged, and there was also information about a fire on the territory of an educational institution. In the Desniansky district, a fire broke out on the territory of a kindergarten.
In the Pechersky district, residential and non-residential buildings were affected, and a fire broke out in a dormitory.
In the Holosiivskyi district, fires were recorded at warehouse facilities, a residential building and an infrastructure facility were damaged. In the Darnytsky district, debris fell in an open area.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, and enterprises were damaged. According to Timur Tkachenko, here the Russian strike hit a 25-story residential building.
Rescue and emergency services continue to eliminate the consequences of the attack and inspect the damaged facilities.
