About 4.3 million Ukrainians are under temporary protection in the EU, over 45 thousand of them in Sweden
On June 15, the Unity Hub for Ukrainians (Unity Hub Stockholm) was opened in the capital of Sweden — Stockholm.
Ilona Havronska, Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, reported that about 4.3 million Ukrainians are currently under temporary protection in EU countries, of which over 45 thousand are in Sweden. According to her, the creation of Unity Hubs is an important step to maintain connections with Ukrainians abroad and provide them with reliable information to make decisions about their future, including the possible return to Ukraine.
At the new center, Ukrainians will be able to receive consultations regarding temporary protection status, residence and integration in Sweden, employment, as well as available support programs for those planning to return to Ukraine.
In addition, the Unity Hub will serve as a platform for cultural, educational, and community events aimed at strengthening the social cohesion of the Ukrainian community.
After the opening, the center will start accepting visitors from June 22. It will operate in a test mode from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM by appointment.
Appointments can be made by email at [email protected].
Recall that the first Unity Hub for Ukrainians in Europe opened on April 15 in Berlin. More than 2,000 people have already used its services.
