The procedure for state registration of public associations is defined by the Law of Ukraine "On State Registration of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs, and Public Formations" No. 755-IV dated 15.05.2003. This was reminded by the Kyiv Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

Creating a public organization or making changes to the information about an already registered public association requires attentiveness when preparing documents. Often, seemingly minor mistakes become the reason for refusal to carry out registration actions.

Before submitting documents, it is worth checking the correctness of filling out the application, the consistency of information in all documents, and the presence of necessary signatures of authorized persons.

Special attention should be paid to the identification of the applicant. Only persons with the appropriate authority can submit documents for state registration.

In case of making changes to the information about a public association, it is necessary to ensure that the submitted documents comply with legal requirements and contain up-to-date information.

The most common grounds for refusal of state registration are submission of incomplete documents, inconsistency of information in the application and documents, as well as violations of the requirements for their formatting.

According to Article 36 of Law No. 755-IV, in case of refusal of state registration, the administrative fee is non-refundable. At the same time, if within one month from the date of the refusal decision the applicant resubmits documents to obtain the same administrative service, the administrative fee is not charged again.

Also, the administrative fee is not charged for the state registration of changes related to changes in the administrative-territorial structure of Ukraine or renaming of toponymic objects.

Therefore, thorough preparation of documents and prior consultation with specialists will help avoid unnecessary time costs and successfully complete the procedure of state registration of a public association.
