In Ukraine, obtaining e-Prescriptions and medical conclusions has been simplified
The Ministry of Health announced that as of June 12, changes have come into effect that simplify obtaining e-Prescriptions and medical conclusions.
What is changing for patients?
- Treatment with an allergist: now allergists and pediatric allergists can independently issue e-Prescriptions for "Affordable Medicines." There is no longer a need to visit a family doctor just to get a prescription — you will receive it immediately during your appointment with the specialist.
- Emergency care: Did you visit the emergency department with an injury or acute condition? The doctor will be able to immediately issue a medical conclusion about temporary disability. You do not need to go to your family doctor for this.
- Oncology care: The list of specialists has been expanded (including doctors of nuclear medicine and radiation oncology) who can issue medical conclusions about temporary disability. You receive treatment and documents from the same specialist who treats you.
"The doctor who examines and prescribes treatment to the patient has full authority to issue the necessary electronic document. Referring a patient to a family doctor only for a prescription or a conclusion about temporary disability is unreasonable and does not comply with legal requirements," the Ministry of Health added.
