The NABU and SAP have completed the investigation and referred the indictment against the owner of the Finance and Credit group, Kostiantyn Zhevago, to court. He is suspected of attempting to bribe the leadership and judges of the Supreme Court to obtain a favorable decision in a commercial dispute.

According to the investigation, the case concerns a conflict over 40.19% of the shares of the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant. In 2002, the businessman purchased a share package from four companies, but in the 2020s, former shareholders challenged the deal in court. After decisions by the first and appellate courts, made at different times, the dispute escalated to the Supreme Court level.

Law enforcement claims that in March–April 2023, the entrepreneur, through an intermediary, transferred 2.7 million US dollars to a lawyer who, according to the investigation, was part of the so-called "back office" of the Supreme Court. The funds were allegedly intended for securing a decision in favor of the businessman.

In July 2023, the businessman was notified of suspicion, and in September 2025, the intermediary was also notified. In October 2025, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court granted permission for a special pre-trial investigation regarding the entrepreneur.
