Citizens who survived captivity or illegal detention as a result of the war will be able to restore lost driver's licenses or vehicle registration certificates for free at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko.

According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported the relevant decision aimed at helping people affected by Russian aggression.

The right to free document restoration can be exercised once within a year after release from captivity.

The government also regulated issues related to the property of persons who went missing under special circumstances. Guardians appointed to manage such property will be able to restore, in particular, the vehicle registration certificate issued in the name of the missing person and legally manage this property in the owner's interest.
