The Cabinet of Ministers has identified education and science as the largest area of state investments for 2027–2029. A total of 78.5 billion UAH is allocated for the development of the sector, which is the largest amount of funding among all public investment sectors. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science, Oksen Lisovyi.

According to the minister, the government’s decision indicates that the development of education and science is secured at the level of state priorities. This means that the strategic course for changes in the educational sphere does not depend on personnel decisions or political cycles.

Lisovyi emphasized that education requires long-term vision, stable investments, and consistent policy, especially in wartime conditions.

As the minister noted, investments in education concern specific areas, including opportunities for children to study in-person at safe schools, provision of school bus transportation for students, creation of modern STEM laboratories, renovation of dormitories, establishment of new workshops in vocational education institutions, and procurement of equipment for scientific research at universities.

"War does not diminish the importance of education. On the contrary. Right now, we must continue to invest in people who will rebuild the country, develop the economy, create new technologies, and educate future generations," Lisovyi stressed.

The minister noted that the government’s decision concerns not only funding but also the understanding that human capital remains the main value, and investments in it must remain a priority even during war.
