For 150 Thousand Drones and 350 Missiles: The United Kingdom Announced Billion-Pound Aid to Ukraine
The United Kingdom will provide a new military aid package to Ukraine worth 750 million pounds sterling (about 1 billion dollars). This was announced by British Defense Minister Ben Wallace during the "Ramstein" format meeting on June 18.
According to him, the country will allocate funds for two packages under the PURL program. The financial contribution is planned to be used to purchase 200,000 long-range 155mm shells and 100 critical Patriot missiles.
"Minister Fedorov made it clear what is needed. These are air defense systems, long-range 155mm ammunition, and Ukrainian drones," he said, emphasizing that this must be provided very quickly.
Additionally, the UK will finance the supply of another 150,000 Ukrainian-made drones, as well as over 350 missiles and GGJ radars to strengthen air defense.
Furthermore, Ukraine and Germany have signed an agreement on the development of ballistic missile defense systems.
