The Ministry of Defense has opened access to information about the weapons Russia uses in the war against Ukraine
The Ministry of Defense is launching the state portal TrophyLab — a single center for the study of captured equipment that unites manufacturers, engineers, scientists, laboratories, and international partners to study Russian armaments and share research results. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that the platform opens access to systematized data on captured samples, which will allow Ukraine and its partners to more effectively analyze enemy technologies and develop countermeasures.
Joint database for defense research
TrophyLab accumulates information received from units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate, the Security Service of Ukraine, and specialized scientific institutions.
Platform users gain access to a catalog of technical specifications, drawings, and research results of Russian armaments. This is intended to enable the use of already conducted analyses and accelerate the creation of new solutions for counteraction.
More than 115 samples in the database
According to the platform, TrophyLab currently contains:
- more than 115 captured samples;
- 79 categories and subcategories of equipment;
- more than 225 conducted studies.
In addition to online access, there is an option to register to receive samples for conducting independent offline research.
Who can access the platform
Users of TrophyLab can be:
- scientific organizations of Ukraine;
- military units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine;
- Ukrainian defense technology manufacturers;
- state institutions and defense agencies of partner countries;
- foreign defense companies of partner states that meet the Ministry of Defense's requirements.
Registration is carried out through the project website. During the application process, the absence of ties with Russia, absence of sanctions, and compliance with other established criteria are verified.
Opening access to data on Russian armaments, according to the Ministry of Defense, strengthens the capabilities of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in countering the enemy on land and in the air. It is also seen as a contribution to strengthening international security and the defense capabilities of partner countries.
