In Boryspil, two Cane Corso dogs fatally mauled a 79-year-old woman — the owner was detained
In Boryspil, Kyiv region, dogs fatally mauled a woman. The Kyiv regional prosecutor's office is investigating the circumstances of the tragedy.
According to preliminary data, on June 19 at about 3:40 PM in the city of Boryspil, two Cane Corso dogs ran out of a private property through a loosely closed gate and entered a neighboring yard, where they attacked a person.
As a result of the animal attack, a 79-year-old woman sustained severe bodily injuries. The victim was hospitalized and later died in the hospital.
The owner of the dogs was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the dogs were taken to a cynological center. Currently, initial investigative actions are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
The pre-trial investigation into causing death by negligence (Part 1, Article 119 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is being conducted by investigators of the Boryspil District Police Department.
