In Kyiv, a neighbor's remark ended in stabbing and an attack on the police: video
In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, a conflict between neighbors escalated into bodily injuries.
This was reported by the Patrol Police of Ukraine.
A report about the incident was received on the emergency line 112. The complainant said that he made a remark to his neighbor, after which the neighbor inflicted a knife wound on him – injuring his limb with a knife.
The officers went up to the man's apartment and, according to Article 46 of the Law of Ukraine "On the National Police," brought their service weapons to combat readiness, as the man had a knife with him.
As the police said, when the man opened the door, he was holding a knife. In addition, he behaved aggressively and rushed at the patrol officers.
To repel the attack, the police used special means, including a rubber baton, after which they knocked the knife out of his hands.
The man was detained using handcuffs and physical force, and an investigative-operational group and medics were called to the scene.
The victim was hospitalized, and the knife was seized for examination. The circumstances of the incident are being established by investigators.
