The National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities Sectors announced that it has approved the draft resolution "On Approval of Amendments to the Commercial Electricity Metering Code."

The draft was developed in connection with the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine dated February 10, 2026, No. 4777-IX and the need to bring the provisions of the Commercial Electricity Metering Code in line with legislative requirements.

The amendments provide for:

- regulation of issues related to the organization of commercial electricity metering for facilities that produce, consume, and store energy within a single connection point to the transmission system operator's or distribution system operator's network;

- improvement of approaches to metering at facilities of electricity producers, energy storage operators, and consumers.

Certain provisions of the draft concern the classification of commercial metering sites by type of facility and composition of electrical installations, as well as clarification of the procedures (algorithms) for forming commercial metering data.

The draft resolution, along with justification and regulatory impact analysis, will be published on the official NERC website to receive comments and proposals.
