The Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Region clarified the issue of early retirement pension appointment for combatants.

Right to early retirement pension

Combatants have the right to early appointment of an age pension:

men — from 55 years old, with at least 25 years of insurance experience;

women — from 50 years old, with at least 20 years of insurance experience.

Determination of pension amount

The pension amount according to the Law of Ukraine No. 1058 depends on the length of insurance experience and the salary from which insurance contributions were paid.

Supplements and increases to the pension

The following are established for combatants in addition to the pension:

  • pension increase — 25% of the subsistence minimum for persons who lost their ability to work (from 01.01.2026 — 648.75 UAH);
  • targeted cash assistance for living — 40 UAH;
  • monthly state targeted assistance to the pension if the total pension payment (taking into account supplements, increases, additional pensions, targeted cash assistance, indexation, and other payments established by law, except for pensions for special merits to Ukraine) does not reach 5,528 UAH.
