On June 12, 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine will introduce into circulation two new circulating commemorative coins from the "We Are Strong. We Are Together" series, dedicated to the unity of Ukraine and its regions:

  • "We Are Strong. We Are Together. Mykolaiv Region"
  • "We Are Strong. We Are Together. Odesa Region"

The Head of the National Bank, Andriy Pyshnyi, noted that the "We Are Strong. We Are Together" series is designed to tell the story of Ukraine through its regions and people.

"Each coin is a sign of respect for the regions and their residents, who strengthen our state with their work, courage, and dedication. Mykolaiv and Odesa are the southern frontiers of Ukraine, which have become symbols of resilience, strength of spirit, and the fight for freedom. They are a reliable outpost preserving the economic viability of our country and its connection with the world. The new circulating commemorative coins are our expression of gratitude to the residents of Mykolaiv and Odesa regions for their unity and faith in Ukraine. Today, we engrave in metal the indomitability of the Ukrainian South and the people who defend, restore, and develop their communities in the most difficult times. Because we are strong when we are together," emphasized Andriy Pyshnyi.

About the coin design

The reverse features a stylized map of Ukraine with administrative boundaries marked and highlighting the regions dedicated by the coins: one shows the Mykolaiv region, the other the Odesa region.

The reverse design was created by Oleksandra Kuchynska, the obverse artist is Volodymyr Demyanenko. Sculptor – Volodymyr Demyanenko.
