Women may be returned in the next stage of the prisoner exchange in the "1000 for 1000" format – GUR
Preparation for the next stage of the prisoner exchange in the "1000 for 1000" format is ongoing in Ukraine. The Main Intelligence Directorate reported that the lists may include prisoners of war captured as early as 2022, as well as women, severely wounded, and other categories. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense's MID, Andrii Yusov.
Commenting on the words of representatives of the Coordination Headquarters on Prisoner of War Affairs about a possible "mixed" exchange format, Yusov confirmed in a comment to "hromadske" that various categories of prisoners are held in Russian captivity, including those held since 2022, as well as female prisoners, seriously ill and severely wounded captives, representatives of different directions and units.
At the same time, he emphasized that details of future exchanges will be disclosed when the exchanges are ready.
