IDPs given time until June 1 to apply for assistance with retroactive payments
By June 1, certain categories of IDPs must submit an application for assistance to avoid losing payments for previous months.
This concerns children among internally displaced persons and incapacitated IDPs.
The Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine reminded that the deadline for submitting applications for housing assistance for certain categories of internally displaced persons ends on June 1, 2026.
The ministry noted that children among IDPs can receive payments regardless of family income. If an application is submitted by June 1, 2026, the assistance will be credited retroactively from February 1, 2026.
Also, incapacitated IDPs whose assistance was previously terminated due to exceeding the income limit can reapply. In this case, payments will be credited from January 1, 2026.
The Ministry of Social Policy emphasized that after June 1, 2026, assistance will only be credited from the month the application is submitted, so it is important to apply in advance to avoid losing payments for previous months.
Applications can be submitted:
— online through the Pension Fund of Ukraine's web portal;
— in person at a Pension Fund service center;
— through the Center for Administrative Services;
— through authorized representatives of local councils;
— by mail to the territorial office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
