The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine confirmed that it continues to operate in Kyiv
Information about the U.S. Embassy leaving is not true. This was stated by the diplomatic mission. Earlier, this was reported to journalists by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heorhiy Tykhyi. Prior to that, the EU High Representative Kaja Kallas stated that the U.S. Embassy was evacuated from Ukraine amid threats from the Russian Federation.
“The U.S. Embassy is operating as usual. There have been no changes in our activities, and any reports to the contrary are false. For the State Department, nothing is more important than the safety and protection of U.S. citizens, and it regularly reviews the security status of the embassy in Kyiv,” the American diplomats' statement reads.
The embassy also emphasized that due to the “armed conflict, U.S. citizens should not visit Ukraine for any reason.”
