President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a bill amending certain laws of Ukraine to expand the powers of local self-government bodies to support the security and defense sector of Ukraine.

Recall that this document was adopted by the parliament in June 2024. Bill No. 9559-d will expand the powers of local self-government bodies to support the security and defense sector of Ukraine.

The bill allows local self-government to finance units of the Defense Forces, including the purchase of equipment and machinery.
