Attempted murder of the mayor of Pyatykhatky Isaiev – 57-year-old farmer detained
Law enforcement officers have reported suspicion against a 57-year-old resident of Pyatykhatky in Dnipropetrovsk Region in the case of an attempted intentional murder of the mayor of Pyatykhatky.
The victim is Hilal Mirgasan ogly Isaiev, who has held the position since 2020. He is currently in serious condition.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, on May 26 around 10:40 AM near the building of the Pyatykhatky city council, a verbal conflict arose between the men during a discussion about the unauthorized use of communal property.
During the dispute, the suspect, who is a local farmer, stabbed the mayor in the chest area.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is currently being decided.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement is establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
