In the Dnipro district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a citizen who damaged an official vehicle.

As noted by the Kyiv Patrol Police, on May 28, for a traffic violation in Dnipro district, patrol officers stopped the driver of a Skoda car.

“While processing administrative materials, a man, presumably an acquaintance of the driver, approached the officers. The man behaved aggressively, threatened the patrol officers, and then broke the windshield of the service vehicle with a metal rod. Afterwards, the man rushed at the police,” the statement reads.

It was also added that to stop the offense and detain the man, the patrol officers used physical force, handcuffs, and a special device equipped with a tear and irritant substance in accordance with Article 45 of the Law of Ukraine “On the National Police.”

Investigators were called to the scene and will further establish all the circumstances of the incident.
