The Pension Fund in Zaporizhzhia Region reminded that the main document for confirming work experience for the period before the introduction of personalized accounting is the employment record book.

At the same time, if there are corrections, inaccurate or unreliable entries in the employment record book regarding work periods before January 1, 2004, confirmation of work experience at enterprises, institutions, or organizations located in temporarily occupied territories is carried out by special commissions on work experience confirmation, created at the main offices of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

To confirm such work periods, a citizen or their representative can apply to any territorial body of the Pension Fund regardless of their place of residence or service. For this, it is necessary to submit an application for work experience confirmation, the employment record book, and other available documents confirming work activity.

If documents on work experience are missing and it is impossible to obtain them because the enterprise or its legal successor is or was located in a temporarily occupied territory or in a combat zone, work experience can be established based on the testimony of at least two witnesses.

In this case, the applicant submits the employment record book and indicates in the application the data of witnesses who worked with them at the same enterprise and have their own documents confirming their work during the relevant period.

Witnesses residing in Ukraine are interviewed by the territorial body of the Pension Fund at their place of residence. An invitation is sent within three working days after the applicant's request. The interview is conducted by the Pension Fund body chosen by the witness.

If a witness resides abroad, they must send a properly legalized statement indicating information about the joint work period with the applicant. Certified copies of documents confirming their work during the relevant period are attached to the statement.

After reviewing all submitted documents, acts, and testimonies, the commission makes a decision to confirm the work experience or to refuse such confirmation.

Information about insurance experience can be checked through the electronic services web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. For employers, the relevant data is available in the Insurer's E-cabinet, and for insured persons — in the personal user cabinet.
