Enforcement proceedings move online: Ministry of Justice launches new data exchange with UJITS
The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, together with the State Enterprise "National Information Systems" (NAIS) and the State Judicial Administration, has completed the next stage of modernization of the Automated Enforcement Proceedings System (AEPS).
The software update aims to increase the efficiency of court decision enforcement, reduce paper document flow, and further digitize interaction between government bodies, enforcement officers, and other participants in enforcement proceedings.
Electronic interaction with UJITS
A key result of the modernization was the implementation of new functionality for electronic interaction with the Unified Judicial Information and Telecommunication System (UJITS). Specialists have completely modified the information exchange process between agencies.
From now on, orders to seize wages, pensions, scholarships, and other debtor incomes will be sent directly to the electronic offices of institutions, enterprises, and organizations registered in UJITS.
Protection of servicemen's rights
Previously, document flow with them was carried out exclusively in paper form. Due to logistical difficulties, this led to:
- long delays in delivery and processing of documents;
- unjustified inclusion of servicemen in the Unified Debtors Register;
- imposition of additional restrictions on defenders who, due to performing combat missions, could not timely comply with court decisions.
After document exchange is carried out electronically, delays related to physical mailing will be prevented.
Optimization of enforcement officers' work
The new functionality optimizes the work of state and private enforcement officers and will contribute to more prompt enforcement of court decisions.
In addition to integration with the judicial system, developers have also made a number of additional technical improvements and fixes aimed at improving user interaction with the AEPS functionality.
