Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga announced that Ukraine is officially delivering through diplomatic channels an open letter from the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Putin containing proposals to end the war.
According to the Foreign Minister, the document contains a "serious and weighty proposal" for achieving peace, as well as specific and feasible steps to cease hostilities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that it expects a substantive response to the Ukrainian proposal. According to Sybiga, the time has come to end the war and choose the path to peace.
"We expect a substantive response to this proposal. The time has come to end this war. The time has come to choose peace," the minister emphasized.
As a reminder, in the open letter to Putin, Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed holding a personal meeting in a neutral country to discuss ending the war, declared Ukraine's readiness for a complete ceasefire during negotiations, and the exchange of prisoners on an "all for all" basis.
