Body of a man found near the border with Romania
On Monday, June 8, a border patrol of the "Dilove" border service unit of the Mukachevo Border Detachment discovered the body of an unknown man. This was reported by the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"The deceased was found in a hard-to-reach mountainous area about 3.5 kilometers from the state border," the agency stated.
At the scene, border guards called emergency service and police officers. Currently, law enforcement is establishing the identity of the deceased and the circumstances of his death.
"We urge citizens not to put themselves in danger and to refrain from traveling independently in hard-to-reach border areas. Mountainous terrain, especially under adverse weather conditions, can pose a threat to life and health," the State Border Guard Service added.
