100 Hryvnia Banknotes with the Slogan: Glory to Ukraine, Glory to the Heroes Will Appear in Ukraine: Is It Necessary to Exchange Old Banknotes
Starting from June 16, 2026, modified 100-hryvnia banknotes will be introduced into cash circulation in Ukraine. This was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine.
On the upper right part of the reverse side of the modified 100-hryvnia banknotes, a patriotic slogan is placed: "GLORY TO UKRAINE! GLORY TO THE HEROES!".
Accordingly, all other design and security elements of these banknotes correspond to the 100-hryvnia banknotes of the 2014 sample, whose images and descriptions are posted on the pages of the Official Internet Representation of the National Bank.
"From June 16, 2026, the National Bank will begin issuing modified 100-hryvnia banknotes to Ukrainian banks, cash-in-transit companies, and cash processing companies for further provision to the cash circulation system.
The introduction of such 100-hryvnia banknotes completes the modification of the entire banknote series of the national currency, which the National Bank started in August 2024, ahead of the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's independence," the NBU stated.
The regulator also emphasized that citizens do not need to specially exchange 100-hryvnia banknotes of previous years for the modified banknotes.
As a legal means of payment, they will remain in circulation alongside the 100-hryvnia banknotes of previous years and must be accepted at their nominal value by all individuals and legal entities without any restrictions throughout the territory of Ukraine for all types of payments, account credits, deposits, letters of credit, and payment operations.
The NBU reminded that modified national currency banknotes with the slogan of modern Ukraine: "GLORY TO UKRAINE! GLORY TO THE HEROES!" have already been introduced into circulation:
from August 8, 2024 – denominations of 500 and 1000 hryvnias;
from August 23, 2024 – denomination of 50 hryvnias;
from August 21, 2025 – denomination of 20 hryvnias;
from February 25, 2026 – denomination of 200 hryvnias.
