From 40 to 416 items: Ukraine expanded the List of prohibited software for use
The State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection announced that it has expanded the List of prohibited software and communication (network) equipment for use from 40 to 416 items.
It is noted that the update of the List was carried out as a result of systematic work by the Department of State Control in the field of information protection and cybersecurity of the Administration of the State Service of Special Communications.
"The Service's specialists conducted a detailed analysis of the current decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), enacted by the relevant Decrees of the President of Ukraine, as well as processed the latest sanction decisions.
This work is aimed at timely identifying software products and communication equipment related to sanctioned persons and ensuring the relevance of the List according to the current security situation," the statement reads.
In particular, the updated List added software Dr. Web and Kaspersky Lab, as well as software products marketed under the trademarks "1C" and "BAS".
