Repeated Identification of Pensioners Abroad: What to Pay Attention to by December 31
The Pension Fund of Ukraine provided clarifications regarding the physical identification of pensioners who temporarily reside abroad.
The agency notes that pensioners and their relatives often ask questions about the need to undergo identification again within one year.
According to Article 47-1 of the Law of Ukraine "On Compulsory State Pension Insurance," pension payments to persons temporarily staying outside Ukraine are made on the condition of undergoing physical identification by December 31 of each calendar year.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained that if a pensioner has already undergone identification in the current year and their identity has been properly confirmed, there is no need to repeat the procedure until the end of the year.
