Without this procedure, the pension will not be paid: The Pension Fund of Ukraine addressed pensioners
The Pension Fund of Ukraine urged pensioners to check the completion of physical identification, as the uninterrupted receipt of pension payments in 2026 depends on it.
For this purpose, the "My Identification" service is available on the Pension Fund's electronic services web portal for users with the status of "pensioner." It allows viewing the date of the last identification and the method by which it was conducted.
Thanks to this service, pensioners can independently find out whether they have completed the necessary procedure in 2026. If physical identification has not yet been completed, the fields with the date and source of the procedure will remain empty.
The Pension Fund reminds that according to Article 47-1 of the Law of Ukraine "On Compulsory State Pension Insurance," citizens temporarily staying abroad must undergo physical identification by December 31 of each year. Only under this condition will pension payments continue.
The procedure can be completed in several ways:
- personally visit a Pension Fund service center;
- use the Pension Fund's electronic services web portal;
- undergo identification via videoconference after prior registration on the portal;
- contact a Ukrainian diplomatic institution abroad, obtain the relevant certificate, and send it to the Pension Fund at the place of registration by mail or through the Pension Fund's electronic portal.
The agency advises not to delay the check and to make sure in advance that the data on identification completion is displayed in the personal account. This will help avoid problems with pension payments in the future.
