Is a deferral guaranteed after the completion of a new contract – explained by the Ministry of Defense
As previously reported, a campaign has started in Ukraine to conclude motivational contracts for military service. New contracts with specified service terms and guaranteed deferral can be signed by civilians, mobilized persons, and servicemen who are already serving under a contract.
The Ministry of Defense answered one of the most common questions from the military — whether there is a guarantee of deferral after the expiration of the new contract term.
The ministry reminded that according to Article 117 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers, within its competence, issues resolutions and orders that are mandatory for execution.
Also, the Ministry of Defense noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 768 dated June 12, 2026, provides for guaranteed deferral for the relevant category of persons.
The condition for receiving it is the submission of documents confirming the right to such a deferral.
