The Northern Bypass of Rivne has been opened in Rivne region — a new transport artery with a total length of 14.5 km. This was reported by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

It is noted that this is one of the largest road projects in recent years. It is intended to divert transit traffic outside the city, reduce travel time for drivers, and improve transport connections between regions of Ukraine and the countries of the European Union.

After a forced pause, work on the project was resumed and fully completed.

As part of the project implementation:

  • 6 km of new road were built;
  • 4 km of existing road were reconstructed;
  • another 4.5 km of road network and artificial structures were repaired;
  • a railway overpass and an overpass were constructed.
