By 2030 Russia May Attack NATO – Keir Starmer
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that, according to assessments by British intelligence and the intelligence services of other NATO countries, an attack by Russia on the North Atlantic Alliance is possible by 2030.
According to him, the government is preparing a relevant interdepartmental report, which will be published before the NATO summit taking place in the coming weeks. Starmer emphasized that this summit is one of the most important, as it involves NATO countries — "the most effective military alliance in history."
He stressed that it is precisely the intelligence assessments regarding the potential threat from Russia that determine the relevance and priority of discussing security issues.
"If you need a reminder of the importance of this, according to our intelligence and that of other NATO countries, an attack by Russia on NATO could happen as early as 2030. So you see how urgent and prioritized this is for us," the Prime Minister said.
Starmer also noted that the main duty of the government is to ensure the security of the country and its citizens. According to him, this duty is key for any prime minister, and he takes it extremely seriously every day.
He added that the current situation in the world is one of the most complex in recent decades.
"We live in more dangerous and unstable times than ever in my or your lifetime," Starmer said, noting that the Chief of the British General Staff also called the current period the most dangerous in his 35 years of service.
