In Kyiv, a drunk driver crashed into a store at high speed, video
On Saturday, June 20, a driver under the influence of alcohol caused an accident on Sadova Street in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. A Hyundai car crashed into a store.
According to the Kyiv Patrol Police, no one was injured as a result of the accident.
During communication with the driver, officers noticed obvious signs of intoxication. The man behaved aggressively, so he was detained using handcuffs in accordance with Article 45 of the Law of Ukraine "On the National Police" and taken to the police department.
It turned out that the driver first hit concrete barriers and damaged a power pole, then left the scene of the accident and continued driving. Later, he lost control and crashed into the store building.
"The man agreed to undergo a sobriety test at a medical facility. The result was 2.67 ‰ of alcohol," the police stated.
The patrol officers drew up a report against the driver under Part 1 of Article 130 (Driving a vehicle under the influence), two reports under Article 124 (Traffic rules violation causing an accident), a report under Article 122-4 (Leaving the scene of an accident), a detention report, and issued a ruling under Part 1 of Article 126 (Driving without insurance) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
The court will make the final decision in the case.
