100% Sick Leave Payment: Who Is Eligible for Benefits
According to the Law of Ukraine "On Compulsory State Social Insurance," temporary disability benefits are paid to insured persons depending on their acquired insurance experience at rates of 50%, 60%, 70%, or 100% of the average salary (income). This was reminded by the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk region.
The general condition for maximum payments.
Sick leave is paid at 100% if the insured person has more than eight years of insurance experience.
Benefits at 100% of the average salary are paid REGARDLESS of the length of acquired experience, in particular to:
- war veterans, affected participants of the Revolution of Dignity, and family members of deceased war veterans and Defenders of Ukraine;
- citizens classified in categories 1-3 of persons affected by the Chernobyl disaster;
- one of the parents or a person replacing them who cares for a sick child under 14 years old affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
Employees or gig specialists of a Diia City resident who are insured persons receive sick leave payments regardless of the length of insurance experience, in the amount of the salary from which insurance contributions were actually paid.
Additionally, at 100% of the average salary (taxable income), regardless of insurance experience, the following are assigned and paid:
- temporary disability benefits due to an accident at work or occupational disease;
- maternity and childbirth benefits.
