Border guards of the Mukachevo detachment received a phone call from a 24-year-old resident of Kamianets-Podilskyi. The man reported that he was stuck in the mountainous area of Rakhiv district and, due to severe exhaustion, could not continue moving on his own. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

A response team went on a search. The border guards found the man and helped him descend from the mountains. He did not require medical assistance.

After the rescue, it was revealed that he had independently planned a route for illegal crossing of the state border into Romania. However, after several hours in the highlands, he realized he had overestimated his strength and needed help.

An administrative protocol was drawn up against the man.
