IMF Mission Arrives in Kyiv for First Review of $8.1 Billion Financing Program for Ukraine
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission has arrived in Kyiv to conduct the first review of the four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program for Ukraine amounting to 8.1 billion dollars.
This was reported by the IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine, Priscilla Tofano.
The mission is led by Gavin Gray. During the visit, Fund representatives will hold a series of meetings with Ukrainian authorities and partners.
The main focus of the discussion is macroeconomic policy and key structural reforms.
Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko previously noted that among other things, the negotiations plan to discuss changes to the state budget, including increased payments to military personnel.
Recall that Ukraine's relations with the Fund are defined by the Memorandum on Economic and Financial Policies (MEFP), which provides for the implementation of clear structural reforms within set deadlines. The new 48-month cooperation program was agreed upon by the parties in February 2026 based on previous interaction experience, during which the program underwent a record number of reviews.
