The bill on the procedure for excluding women from military registration is proposed to be rejected
A draft resolution No. 15116/P was registered in parliament to reject the bill concerning amendments to Article 37 of the Law of Ukraine "On Military Duty and Military Service" regarding the procedure for excluding women from military registration who were registered in violation of the law. This refers to bill 15116.
The explanatory note to the initiative has not yet been published.
As previously reported by "Judicial and Legal Newspaper", the relevant Committee on National Security recommended adopting in full an alternative bill No. 15116-1, which proposes to regulate the procedure for excluding women from military registration who were registered in violation of the law. The document is recommended for adoption as a basis and in full.
At the same time, despite general support for the idea of regulating situations involving the erroneous registration of women for military service, parliamentary experts draw attention to a number of significant shortcomings of bill No. 15116-1.
