Ihor Zubovych to Perform Duties of CEO of SE "Forests of Ukraine"

By the decision of the members of the Supervisory Board, starting from July 1, the duties of the CEO of SE "Forests of Ukraine" have been assigned to the head of the enterprise transformation commission, Ihor Zubovych. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

Supervisory Board member Roberts Strīpnieks noted that the personnel changes will significantly strengthen the enterprise's team.

"Forests of Ukraine" must continue on the same course but with new energy. The new leader faces serious challenges, but we are ready to fully support his work. He enjoys the full trust of the Supervisory Board," emphasized Roberts Strīpnieks.

According to Supervisory Board member Janne Harjunpää, the results achieved by the enterprise's management in recent years are significant, but in the process of transforming SE "Forests of Ukraine," new strength, new energy, and expertise will emerge.

Ihor Zubovych stated that his goal is to introduce new approaches to enterprise management — more modern, transparent, and effective.

"I thank the members of the Supervisory Board for their trust and support. The enterprise's work priorities are, first and foremost, strengthening management transparency, modernization and introduction of modern technologies, achieving a balance between economy and ecology, filling the budget, and, importantly, increasing public trust in the work of foresters," said Ihor Zubovych.

Following the meeting, the Supervisory Board also initiated the preparation process for a competitive selection for the position of CEO of SE "Forests of Ukraine."

To conduct the competition, the enterprise is obliged to engage a professional personnel selection consultant and to develop and submit to the Supervisory Board for approval the conditions for the competition and the criteria for candidate evaluation.

In addition to personnel matters, the Supervisory Board approved the report on the implementation of the financial plan of the state specialized economic enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" for the first quarter of 2026 and the interim report on achieving the activity goals defined in the Owner's Letter of Expectations for 2026.

Also acknowledged were: the manager's report on the performance indicators of state property use and profit for the first quarter of 2026, the results of the analysis of the organizational structure of SE "Forests of Ukraine," and the independent auditor's report on the enterprise's financial statements for 2022–2024.

The Supervisory Board obliged the enterprise to conduct an independent audit of the 2026 financial statements and approved the Procedure for conducting a competition to select audit entities.

The Supervisory Board recognized the necessity of implementing a unified ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) at the enterprise — software for comprehensive automation and management of all company resources.

The unified ERP system should serve as a key tool for transforming business processes, improving management quality, transparency of accounting, prompt formation of management and financial reporting, as well as reducing risks associated with the use of outdated and sanctioned software.

According to Supervisory Board member Markian Vytvytskyi, extensive preparatory work has been done to maximize the detailing of the ERP system implementation process, and the enterprise is now ready to start the first phase.
